April 21, 2025

Good day, EPE Community.

I want to thank all of you who filled out the Google Form to share how much you appreciate Ms. Whitfield for AP APPRECIATION WEEK. I was able to use AI to do a really cool thing for her. I took all of the entries and turned it into an AI podcast for her to listen to at her leisure. Sound like it’s from the future? Well, if you don’t believe it, listen to this excerpt: AMBER’s PODCAST. The total podcast was 24 minutes long because so many people added beautiful comments and it was broken up into sepgments by families, staff, and students. She loved it! And, don’t worry. The full spraedhseet of ALL the comments was shared with her so she got to read your personal notes too.

Also, I hope you rested up over the thre day weekend because EPE’s big event is this Saturday!

Hello Edison Park Families,
This is a reminder for all 2nd and 6th grade families that the State of Illinois requires a Proof of Dental Exam to be submitted by May 15th. The dental exam should have been completed sometime in the last year. If you already submitted this form at the start of the year you do not need to do so again.
We also have several students who have not submitted their Child Health Exam Form. Please submit this form via email to [email protected] or directly to the school as soon as possible.
If you have any questions regarding your child’s health requirements please do not hesitate to reach out to Nurse Jen or Nurse Naghmeh.
Thank you for your partnership!

Please join us on Saturday, June 21 for the annual EPE Dad’s Club Golf Outing at Tam O’Shanter Golf Course.
The outing is open to all members of the EPE community so feel free to form a team with your friends, parents, cousins, co-workers, etc.
You can RSVP and find additional details about the event here: https://evite.me/EqEpnvasq3
Feel free to reach out to Tim Kirby at 517-930-3169 for more information. Thanks!
The annual My Voice My School Parent survey is an incredible opportunity for parents’/guardians’ important perspective to be heard. Parents and guardians of CPS students are invited to complete a survey about their child’s school between April 1, 2025 and May 17, 2025.
The survey takes about 5-10 minutes to complete, it is available in several languages, and it is completely anonymous. We appreciate all parents/guardians who take a few minutes to participate in the My Voice My School Parent Survey.

WEEKLY POST: Purchase EPE Spirit Wear: Don’t forget to order your new EPE Spirit Wear. The easy-to-use website can be found here

WEEKLY POST: Add EPE’s Calendar to Your Personal Calendar: If you go to the school’s website and scroll down a little bit, you will find UPCOMING EVENTS on the left-hand side. We do our best to keep this as accurate as possible. If you click on SHOW CALENDAR below the events, it will bring you to the entire EPE calendar. In the top right corner, you will see little icons. These icons can be used to add the calendar to your own.

WEEKLY POST: General LSC Information: If you are a parent, staff member, teacher, or community member, and you have a question/concern you would like the LSC to address, please contact those people using their emails found here.
We are asking those who wish to make a comment or present a question during public participation at the next LSC meeting to complete this form. You have the option to have the Chair read the statements and questions aloud or to say them yourself. You can also sign up in person before the meeting begins
