January 13, 2025

Good day, EPE Community.

I want to thank all of you who completed the EPE Community Feedback survey I shared last week. If you are still interested in doing it, there is information on how to do it below.

I also want to be sure that you are all aware that there is NO SCHOOL on Monday (the 20th) and Tuesday (the 21st) next week.

Upcoming Events: *Here is a link to all key dates/events this school year

  • Tuesday, January 14th: LSC meeting (6 pm)

Future Dates:

  • Monday, January 20th: Martin Luther King Jr. Day (no school)
  • Tuesday, January 21st: School Improvement Day (no school)
  • Friday, January 31st: Middle School Dance (6-8 pm)
  • Friday, January 31st: 8th grade lock-in

We have put together a survey that we are asking all families to complete if possible. A majority of the questions are multiple choice so it should not take very long. However, there are also opportunities for optional open responses if you choose to do so.

The survey covers topics like EPE’s homework policies, curricula, parent involvement, and a few other things. We tried to make this as easy for you so it does not take much time but I would set aside 10 minutes or so to complete it. When asked to complete the survey again for another child at EPE, it does NOT make you fill out everything again…just some main questions that apply to that grade level.

Your feedback will help our teams formulate ways to further improve what we are doing at Edison Park Elementary. I typically report these updates out 2x per year at LSC meetings (once in November and another time in the Spring when we review the following year’s budget.) I encourage you to attend those meetings to learn more…but also provide feedback in the survey if you think you would want to hear more updates throughout the year.

Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey.

Assessment + Referral Program is open for booking!

This service is for kids, teens or adults who are unsure whether they need therapy or some other type of support, and want a comprehensive assessment with recommendations for care.  This service is covered by insurance and can be accessed within 24-48 hours in most cases.  This is NOT crisis intervention, but is a space to meet with a mental health expert and leave the assessment with a concrete plan for moving forward.
